Alternative Approval Process for Cove Bay Water Treatment Plant project

An Alternative Approval Process (AAP) is underway for Bylaw 488. The bylaw is to authorize the Municipality to borrow up to $2,533,000 to build the Cove Bay Water Treatment Plant. Council intends to adopt this bylaw unless at least 10% of electors in the Cove Bay Water System Local Service Area oppose the bylaw by submitting an Elector Response Form. The deadline to submit a form is 4:30 pm on Monday, October 21, 2019.

Multi-year funding will facilitate long term planning of services provided for the benefit of Bowen Island residents.

We will make every effort to reduce the impact to motorists and pedestrians, but there will be some road closures, delays, and reduced roadside parking.
