PAVING UPDATE

UPDATE Wednesday, June 19 3:00 pm

All paving is now completed.


UPDATE Tuesday, June 18 3:00 pm

The following roads are completed:

-Senator Road
-Melmore Road
-Lenora Road

Please note that contractors were not able to complete paving on Senator Place as originally planned, as the equipment could not manage the steep grade. Senator Place will be added to the list for possible future paving projects, provided that contractors are able to get their equipment there.


NEW PAVING INFORMATION: June 17 - 19, 2019

Paving contractors have advised that work is now expected to take THREE days to complete. BC FERRIES has advised of potential OVERLOADS June 15 - 20 due to a large volume of commercial vehicles.

Monday, June 17th & Tuesday, June 18th (7 am - 4 pm)

Roads in Deep Bay will be paved on Monday, June 17 and Tuesday, June 18, 2019. We will make every effort to reduce the impact to motorists and pedestrians, but there will be some road closures, delays, and reduced roadside parking.

  • Senator Road
  • Senator Place
  • Melmore Road
  • Lenora Road

Please plan accordingly and remove your vehicle from the area prior to 7:00 am if you need access to it between 7 am and 4 pm. Bylaw Services will not be enforcing parking time limits during this time.

DO NOT PARK on the roadsides where we will be paving. Vehicles parked on the roadsides will be towed to Mt. Gardner road.

Road closures are for vehicles only. Emergency vehicles and pedestrians can still access the roads. Please follow the di­rection of traffic control personnel as well as construction signage.

Bus routes in this area will be affected.

GARBAGE COLLECTION in Deep Bay has been rescheduled to Wednesday, June 19th.

Wednesday, June 19th (7 am - 4 pm)

  • Artisan Lane
  • Hillcrest Road
  • Creek Road

Artisan Lane will be a single lane, alternating direction. Delays of up to 10 minutes are possible.

Road closures are for vehicles only. Emergency vehicles and pedestrians can still access the roads. Please follow the di­rection of traffic control personnel as well as construction signage.
