Pull over for Volunteer Fire Fighters
Volunteer Fire Fighters use their hazard lights to let you know when they are on their way to an emergency call
Please check your rear view mirror frequently when driving on local roads so you will notice if a fire fighter or first responder is driving behind you in their personal vehicle with hazard lights flashing. Our Volunteer Fire Fighters use their hazard lights to let you know when they are en-route to the fire hall to respond to an emergency call-out. All fire fighters have Bowen Island Volunteer Fire Department license plate borders on their vehicles.
Please pull over when you feel it’s safe to allow our volunteers to pass – yielding could save somebody’s life.
